Put the controller on your home screen.

You do not have to. The controller works in any browser; this only hides the address bar, keeps the screen awake more reliably and puts you straight into landscape.

ANDROID

  1. Open killerbufo.com in Chrome.
  2. Tap INSTALL ON THIS PHONE if you see it, and you are done.
  3. Otherwise tap the three dots in the top right.
  4. Tap Add to Home screen, then Install.
  5. Open it from your home screen. It starts in landscape and goes full screen.

IPHONE AND IPAD

Safari only. Chrome on iOS cannot install a web app.

  1. Open killerbufo.com in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button (the square with the arrow, in the bottom bar).
  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Tap Add. A bufo appears on your home screen.
  5. Open it from there. No address bar, no tab switching mid-match.

Either way the game talks over a WebSocket to the room, so an installed controller and a browser tab behave identically. Installing changes the frame around it, nothing else.
